Ray Crockett, Nashville Man, Mistakenly Charged $84,000 For Tank Of Gas That Only Cost $30

We’ve all complained – whether to a neighbor, grandma or politician – about high gas prices at one point or another. For one man in Nashville Tenn. though, the cost of filling up his tank may be one conversation best saved for a lawyer.

News Channel 5 reports that Ray Crockett pulled into a Mapco gas station last Friday because, he said, “They had the cheapest gas at the time. (Read more…)” Crockett filled up, swiped his card to pay, and grabbed the receipt showing he’d been charged $30.00.

  1. I don’t understand all the fuss, it was a mistake. Bring it up to both parties and just ask when it will be corrected and any & all extra charges/fees will be reversed. That’s all thats to it. If they don’t comply, then that’s when it gets fun. You simply find the BEST Law Firm and sue for serious damages and start at something like 1 million and have a very reasonable story that you were buying a house or wife is sick and were going to use the money and now you can’t, etc. And in the mean time go to a few Merceded Benz dealships or Ferrari and start picking out the new car you want to get. Let the bank know this will be VERY EXPENSIVE lesson… If they want to play, say thanks for this opportunity :)
    also mention, how fast can you fix this before I mention it to EVERY news station and outlet, channel in the US?
